Four men charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs

Police today (February 18) charged four men jointly with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs.

Officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau arrested six men, aged between 21 and 43, and seized 12 kg of cocaine worth about $10.5 million in a joint operation mounted with Customs and Excise Department at Granville Circuit in Tsim Sha Tsui in the afternoon on February 16.

Four of the arrestees, aged between 20 and 35, were jointly charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs. Two of them, aged 20 and 23, were also jointly charged with one count of resisting arrest. They will appear at Kowloon City Magistrates' Counts tomorrow (February 19).

Meanwhile, the two remaining arrestees, aged 35 and 43, were released on bail pending for further enquiries.
