Fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Mong Kok this morning (March 11) in which a 75-year-old woman was killed.

At about 10.24am, when a medium goods vehicle (MGV) and a private car were turning left into Fuk Tsun Street from Lime Street, they reportedly hit a 75-year-old woman pedestrian.

The woman sustained serious injuries and was certified dead at about 10.42am at the scene.

The 39-year-old MGV driver and the 51-year-old private car driver were arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway. Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5200 or 2773 5288.
