Fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Hung Hom this morning (April 2) in which an 88-year-old man was killed.

At 6.17am this morning, a public light bus driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling towards Whampao on Wuhu Street. When reaching Dock Street, the vehicle hit the 88-year-old man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was taken to Queen Elizarbeth Hospital where he was later certified dead at 6.39am on the same day.

The 53-year-old public light bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
