Police appeal for information on fatal traffic
accident in Ngau Tau Kok

Police today (April 15) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok on April 2, in which a 57-year-old man was injured and later died in hospital.

About 4.05pm, a taxi driven by the 57-year-old man was travelling along Kai Fuk Road towards To Kwa Wan. When the taxi approached Kai Tak Tunnel, the driver lost control of the taxi and hit the central kerb.

The man was rushed to United Christian Hospital and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was certified dead at 10.50pm on April 11.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.
