Police appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Chai Wan

Police appealed for information about a traffic accident in Chai Wan on December 29, 2008 in which a 57-year-old man was seriously injured.

About 11.40pm, a 60-year-old man was driving a taxi along eastbound Chai Wan Road. Upon approaching the junction with Hong Man Street, the taxi hit the 57-year-old man who was crossing the road.

The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
