Fatal traffic accident on Kau Sai Chau

Police are investigating a traffic accident inside Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course this afternoon (May 18) in which a 62-year-old man was killed.

About 1.15pm, a maintenance car driven by a 56-year-old man was travelling in the east zone of the golf course from the third hole to the fourth hole. The car lost control and was tipped over.

A 62-year-old male passenger was certified dead at the scene, while three other male passengers aged 54, 55 and 57 respectively sustained injuries and were rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The driver injured his left wrist and refused further medication after being treated by the ambulanceman at the scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are under way.
