Police arrest four drugs traffickers in TST disco (with photos)

Police arrested four men for trafficking dangerous drugs in a Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) disco in an anti-drugs operation early this (June 13) morning.

Police has received intelligence that a drugs trafficking syndicate was involved in psychotropic drugs trafficking activities in a disco on Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The Narcotics Bureau (NB) officers mounted an operation codenamed "House Painter" in May and identified three active members of the syndicate.

The operation turned overt in the small hours this morning and NB officers have arrested four men, aged between 23 and 37 for trafficking in dangerous drugs inside the TST disco.

The officers also seized a quantity of psychotropic drugs including cocaine, ecstasy, "Ng Jai", and Ketamine from one of the arrested persons. The seized drugs could be retailed at about $15,000.

The four arrested men are still being detained for enquiry and investigation by Narcotics Bureau are proceeding.

A Police spokesman reiterated that Police are taking rigorous efforts to tackle young drug abusers activities and will continue to conduct various operations to combat the crime.
