Fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O this morning (June 18) in which a 50-year-old woman was killed.

At 9.41am, a private car driven by the deceased was travelling along Clear Water Bay Road towards Clear Water Bay. On reaching Sheung Yeung, it collided with another private car, which was driven by a 34-year-old man, travelling in the opposite direction.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital. The 50-year-old woman was certified dead before arrival.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.
