Police probe Lantau South death

Police are investigating the death of a 57-year-old woman in Lantau South today (June 25).

At 2.40 am, police received a report that a woman had been yelling for help in a flat in Tin Ling House, Lung Tin Estate. When police entered the flat they found the injured woman lying unconsciously on the bathroom floor.

The woman was certified dead by ambulance men at the scene.

Initial examination found multiple cut wounds to her neck and hands. A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of the woman's death.

A man aged around 50 is wanted in relation to this case.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are under way.
