Appeal for information on traffic accident in Aberdeen

Police today (July 18) appealed for information on a traffic accident in Aberdeen yesterday (July 17) in which a taxi was suspected to have left the scene after knocking down a 76-year-old woman.

About 6.16pm on June 17, a taxi was traveling along Waterfall Bay Road northward. When approaching Wah Hong House of Wah Fu Estate, the taxi was reportedly hit the 76-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was taken to Queen Mary Hospital and was in critical condition.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.

Anyone who might have seen the accident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8800.
