Man killed in Tsim Sha Tsui

Police are investigating the murder of a 41-year-old man in Tsim Sha Tsui early this morning (August 4).

About 4am, Police received a report that the man had been knocked down by a car after he got out of his own vehicle parked outside a hotel on Mody Road. Three men armed with knives then got out of another car and attacked the 41-year-old man.

The man sustained serious chop wounds to his arms and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.57am.

Police later located two burnt cars on Lam Kam Road in Tai Po, and believe they are connected to the Tsim Sha Tsui attack.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.

Investigations by Regional Anti-Triad Unit of Kowloon West are under way. Anyone who saw the attack or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers or any police station.
