Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wong Tin Sin on August 26 in which a 79-year-old man was killed.

About 8.30am on that day, a bus driven by a 59-year-old woman was travelling along Chui Chuk Steet towards Chuk Yuen Estate. When approaching Pang Ching Court, it reportedly hit the 79-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.50pm on the following day (August 27).

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon East.
