Crime Matters

Anti-drugs month kicks off today! The purposes of this anti-drugs campaign are to enhance the resilience of citizen against drug abuse and assist parents / teachers to identify potential drug abuse cases; and to teach everyone the harms associated with drug abuse. A series of anti-drugs publicity will be launched throughout the month of June :-


Anti-drugs Promotion Truck rally around the town

Promotion truck will stop by different hotspots in the town between 2021-06-13 and 2021-06-26 to disseminate anti-drugs message. A brand new anti-drugs VR experience is also installed in the car, members of public are invited to experience the harmful hallucinations of drug abuse through VR.

616 Anti-drugs Webinar on Police Facebook Page

Mr. Raymond CHO and a representative of the Narcotics Bureau will host the webinar and assist our experts, including drug expert doctor, social workers, representatives of the Narcotics Division and Department of Justice, to exchange information and ideas in an interactive for providing anti-drugs tips to parents. The Webinar will also be broadcasted on Hong Kong Police Facebook Page at 7pm (live) on 2021-06-16 (Wed).

Anti-drugs Publicity Clips

For four consecutive Tuesdays in June, four anti-drugs publicity clips will be broadcasted at Hong Kong Police Facebook Page to disseminate anti-drugs message to everyone.

VR Promotion Truck

From 13 to 26 June 2021, we have arranged an Anti-drugs Promotion Truck to stop by different hotspots in the town to disseminate anti-drugs message. “Drug Smell Simulator” is available on this promotion truck to teach you how to identify various drugs; and new “Anti-drugs VR Experience” has been designed for members of public to experience the harmful hallucinations of drug abuse. If you want to find out what Ketamine, Cannabis, Ice or Cocaine smells like, or experience the adverse reactions of drug abuse, you should come and visit the truck! Wide range of souvenirs are also on board! Please feel free to pop in the truck in town!*

616 Anti-drugs Webinar

Mr. Raymond CHO and a representative of the Narcotics Bureau will host the webinar and assist our experts to exchange information and ideas on anti-drugs related issues. Discussion topics include drug information, the latest drug trends, drug harms, anti-drugs tips for youth and relevant legislation. Please mark your diary “616”!
