HKAYP Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2025
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 of the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority was held on 6 June 2025. A total of 188 Junior Police Call (JPC) members received the Bronze Award in recognition for their resilient spirit and teamwork skills. Additionally, five outstanding teachers and five actively participating schools were presented with Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their tremendous contributions to nurturing youth leaders and crime-fighting partners, as well as promoting the all-rounded development of JPC members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Leung Chung-man expressed his gratitude for the support from the Award Council’s members, the assistance of principals and teachers, JPC team’s commitment to their duties, and the selfless contributions of volunteer instructors. He encouraged the awardees to persevere, set goals proactively, and strive for the Silver or Gold Awards.

The HKAYP 103rd Silver Award Presentation Ceremony
On 21 May 2025, the Hong Kong Award for Young People held the 103rd Silver Award Presentation Ceremony at St. Catharine's School for Girls. Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-ki officiated at the ceremony, while Commissioner of Police Chau Yat-ming and Chief Superintendent of Public Relations Wing Leung Chung-man were also invited to attend, joining in celebrating the award-winning members of the Junior Police Call (JPC) and volunteer instructors.
At this year's ceremony, a total of 82 outstanding JPC members from the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority (HKPOA) received Silver Award Certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance in the program. Additionally, 21 volunteer instructors, teachers, and district staff from the HKPOA received Certificates of Appreciation for Three Years of Service, while five instructors were honored with Certificates of Appreciation for Seven Years of Service for their long-term contributions to youth development.

JPC members receive HKAYP Gold Awards
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) held the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9 December 2024. Chief Executive John Lee officiated at the ceremony and presented certificates to awardees. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee and Chief Superintendent of Public Relations Wing Leung Chung-man attended the ceremony and congratulated the Junior Police Call (JPC) members who received the Gold Awards.
This year, 17 JPC members from the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority were awarded Gold Award Certificates, and five volunteering instructors received Certificates of Appreciation for Ten Years of Service.

HKAYP Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2024
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2024 of the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority was held at the Junior Police Call (JPC) Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp in Pat Heung on 19 August 2024.
Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Chan Sze-tat and Senior Superintendent (Community Relations) of Public Relations Wing Lam Sze-wan attended the ceremony and congratulated the JPC members who received the Bronze Awards.
This year, a total of 194 JPC members received the Bronze Awards, which was an impressive achievement. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to five outstanding teachers and five actively participating schools in recognition for their support for the JPC.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lam Sze-wan encouraged JPC members to keep up their resilience, strive for the higher Gold Award and make improvement continuously. The ceremony’s guests and awardees participated in group games to showcase their athletic skills.

The HKAYP 102nd Silver Award Presentation Ceremony
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) held its 102nd Silver Award Presentation Ceremony on 29 April 2024. Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-ki officiated at the ceremony and presented certificates to awardees. Chief Superintendent of Public Relations Wing Leung Chung-man attended the ceremony and congratulated the Junior Police Call (JPC) members who received the Silver Awards.
The Chief Secretary praised the JPC awardees for overcoming difficulties to complete all the activities. He also thanked the volunteering instructors for their contribution to nurturing youths. 87 JPC members from the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority were awarded Silver Award Certificates, and three volunteering instructors received Certificates of Recognition for Seven Years of Service.

JPC Members receive HKAYP Gold Awards
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) held the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony 2023 at the Government House on 12 December 2023. Chief Executive Mr John Lee officiated at the ceremony and presented certificates to awardees. Commissioner Siu Chak- Yee, Acting Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Tsang Shuk-yin, and Senior Superintendent of Public Relations Wing (Community Relations), Lam Sze-wan, Emily, attended the ceremony. At the ceremony, the Commissioner congratulated the JPC awardees for overcoming the difficulties to complete all the sections. He also thanked the volunteering instructors for their contribution to nurturing the young people. A Gold awardee, TAN Chi-fung, Junior Police Call Advanced Leader, was invited to share his experience and feeling of participating in the Gold Award activities at the ceremony. Six JPC members under the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority were awarded Gold Award Certificates and a volunteering instructor received a Certificate of Recognition for 10 years of service.

HKAYP Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2023
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2023 of the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority (POA) was successfully held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on May 20. This year, a total of 185 JPC members were presented Bronze Award, which was encouraging. Moreover, six voluntary instructors with 100 hours of services, four voluntary instructors with 150 hours of services and five JPC school clubs with the best performance were awarded certificates of appreciation as a token of encouragement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of Operations, Chan Joon-sun remarked that the Force, being one of 18 Operating Authorities, had been participating in the HKAYP programme since 1973 and committed to providing a wide range of activities and professional volunteer instructors for the training and assessment of JPC members for different levels of awards so that they can challenge themselves, jump out of their comfort zone and eventually become “Youth Leaders and Crime Fighting Partners”. There were “Gratitute Trees” at the ceremony for JPC members to give a blessing and appreciation to the volunteer instructors. The guests took a group photo with the awardees after the ceremony.

The 101st Hong Kong Award for Young People Silver Award Presentation Ceremony successfully held
The 101st Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) Silver Award Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on April 3 at the Ho Fung College (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen). A total of 66 JPC members of the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority (HKPOA) were presented silver awards this year, which was the highest number ever. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, was the officiating guest. Mr Andy Kwok Wing-leung, JP, Chairman of the Award Council, Mr Victor Pang Wing-seng, MH, Vice-Chairman of the Award Council, and other guests of honour also came to witness the precious awarding moment and recognised the hard work and perseverance of the awardees.
The HKAYP had always aimed to provide young people with suitable opportunities to challenge themselves through various activities and volunteer services, and to commend outstanding members at the annual award presentation ceremony. The HKPOA hoped that the awardees would continue to strive for excellence in the future, and gather together at the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony.

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) held the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony 2022 on December 10. The Chief Executive Mr John Lee officiated at the ceremony and presented certificates to awardees.
Commissioner Siu Chak-yee, Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Chan Tung and Chief Superintendent of the Public Relations Wing Tsang Shuk-yin attended the ceremony and witnessed Junior Police Call (JPC) awardees receiving the gold awards. At the ceremony, the Commissioner praised the JPC awardees for overcoming the difficulties to complete all the required sections and expressed his appreciation for the volunteering instructors’ contribution to nurturing the young people. Under the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority (HKPOA), six JPC members were awarded the Gold Award Certificates and a volunteering instructor received a Certificate of Recognition for 10 years of service.

The HKAYP celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021. December was a special month with the POA taking part in three activities.
December 4, 2021
The 60th anniversary celebration luncheon was held. The Chief Secretary for Administration, LEE Ka-chiu was the officiating guest. Commissioner SIU Chak-yee, Chief Superintendent of Police Public Relations Branch KWOK Ka-chuen and Senior Superintendent of Police Public Relations Branch (Media Liaison and Communications), LEUNG Chung-man were invited to attend. On the same occasion, two volunteer mentors were awarded 40 Years of Long-term Service Volunteer Commendation Medals and Certificates of Appreciation.

The 2021 Gold Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Government House in Hong Kong. Five Junior Police Call members received the Gold Award from the Chief Executive Mrs Carrie LAM. A volunteer mentor received a 10-year Certificate of Recognition. HKAYP’s Corner:
CHIU Sin-wan: “Recalled participating in the HKAYP for six years, I went through three levels of bronze, silver and gold awards experiencing hardships and happiness with sad and unforgettable things. POA is like a big family that nurtured my growth. My success all attributed to the guidance of all staff and mentors”.
MA Wai-kin: “I learned to persevere while participating in the Gold award activities. When faced with difficulties, I have the perseverance to solve the problems. This has changed me having courage to take on challenges”.
CHAN Chi-sum: “In the Gold Award Hiking Assessment, the most unforgettable hiking assessment was conducted in a harsh environment with a 30-pound rucksack but the teammates never gave up. Everyone constantly pushed their limits, supported and encouraged one another and finally completed the assessment journey successfully. I would like to thank the POA for investing a lot of resources in cultivating participants, making us grow with unforgettable memories”.

At the Gala Dinner of the Five Divisions and Assessors, Chairman of the HKAYP, LO Yan-lai, presented the 20-year Certificate of Appreciation to the six volunteer mentors for their tireless efforts and selfless dedication in promoting the HKAYP.

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) Bronze Award Presentation Ceremony 2022 of the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority was held at the Police Headquarters on August 13. A total of 82 JPC members were presented Bronze Award, which was encouraging. Moreover, 11 Bronze Award adventurous journey instructors and four Gold Award adventurous journey assessors were presented certificates of appointment. Five actively participating schools were awarded certificates of appreciation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yuen Yuk-kin remarked that the Force had been participating in the HKAYP programme since 1973 to encourage young people to join the programme, helping them develop their potential in various aspects and become youth leaders through different activities coupled with the special evaluation system and cooperation with different stakeholders. The guests took a group photo with the awardees after the ceremony.
