Introduction

“JPC Innovation and Technology Competition 2023-24” is to provide a platform for students to apply the concept of Smart City by creating innovative and feasible solutions in the areas including Mobility, Living, Environment and Economy. Students can give full play to their STEAM skills and knowledge in collaborative projects on enhancing city management, improving people’s quality of living and constructing a smart and safe city.

Award (Creative Design Drawing)

Champion (1 place):
HK$5,000 Scholarship

First runner-up (1 place):
HK$3,000 Scholarship

Second runner-up (1 place):
HK$1,500 Scholarship

Other Awardees (100 awards):
HK$300 Scholarship

Application and Submission of Entries

Junior primary school category is open to individuals, who should submit the following items:

Creative Design Drawing (A3 Size) with Brief Description Form
Participants can give free rein to their imagination by capturing on a drawing paper for what they envision based on the topic of Cyber Security or Information Literacy.

Champion (1 place):
HK$8,000 Scholarship

First runner-up (1 place):
HK$6,000 Scholarship

Second runner-up (1 place):
HK$4,000 Scholarship

Other Awardees (over 40 awards):
HK$400 to HK$2,000 Scholarship

Application and Submission of Entries

Senior primary school category is open to both individuals and teams (maximum five members each), who should submit the following three items:

1.Project Report
Participants are required to give full play to their STEAM knowledge and skills in conducting research, experiments or investigations on the Competition theme and the constructing of a smart and safe city to compile the project report.

2.Video
Participants are required to film a video to briefly explain the Entry’s performance, function or operation.

3.The Entry
Participants are expected to create a product, technology or physical model based on the findings in the project report.

Other Awardees (over 40 awards):
HK$600 to HK$3,000 Scholarship.

Awardees, who are JPC members, may be invited to join the fully funded Science and Technology Study and Exchange Tours to the Greater Bay Area or other activities.
