2004-01-12 19:55 Police are investigating a case in which a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were found fallen from height in Fanling and later certified dead. Enquiries revealed that at about 9.10 am today (January 12) a 23-year-old woman who is the younger sister of the 26-year-old woman reported to Police that her brother-in-law, the 30-year-old man, who was in his flat in Avon Park, Yat Ming Road, Fanling, implied over the phone that the couple was going to die. Over the phone the informant also heard her sister shouting for help. Police officers sped to the scene and found the man lying unconscious on the ground of Avon Park and the woman on the first floor podium. The couple was rushed to North District Hospital where the man was certified dead at 9.31 am and the woman at 10.15 am. Signs of struggling were detected in the master bedroom. Autopsies on the deceased will be conducted tomorrow (January 13). Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tai Po are proceeding. |
