2005-01-14 19:43 Police today (January 14) appeal to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which an 18-year-old man was killed in Kwun Tong on January 10. Shortly after 8 pm on January 10, a light goods vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling along the second lane of westbound Wai Yip Street. When reaching the junction of How Ming Street, it reportedly knocked down the 18-year-old man who dashed across the road from the front part of a vehicle which stopped on the first lane. Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.53 am on January 12. Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway. Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2305 7500 or 2305 7582. |
