Appeal for information on murder : Sau Mau Ping

Police today (February 3) appeal to public for information on a murder in which a 16-year-old girl died and a 20-year-old man injured in Sau Mau Ping yesterday (February 2).

The case came to light at about 3.45 pm when a 20-year-old man made a report to Police, claiming that his 67-year-old father attacked him when he was opening the door of his home in Lee Cheung House, Shun Lee Estate.

His father left the unit afterwards while a 16-year-old girl was found on the ground in the toilet. She was certified dead at the scene.

Sustaining injuries, the 20-year-old man was sent to United Christian Hospital for medical treatment.

A post-mortem is being conducted to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit, Kowloon East is continuing and no one has been arrested so far.

The 67-year-old man is standing at 1.75 metres, of fat build and short white grey hair. He was last seen wearing light colour jacket, dark colour T-shirt with long sleeves and stripes on the chest, dark colour trousers and dark colour shoes.

Police urge anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the man to contact the investigating officers of Regional Crime Unit, Kowloon East on 2767 1482 or the Duty Officer of Sau Mau Ping Police Station on 2797 4269.
