2002-08-29 18:57 Police arrested a 38-year-old man for possession of suspected counterfeit credit card in Tsim Sha Tsui last night (August 28). After extensive investigations, officers from Commercial Crime Bureau laid an ambush at the Miramar Shopping Centre carpark and intercepted a 38-year-old man when he was about to take his car at about 10.40 pm. He was found in possession of a suspected counterfeit credit card, a payment slip with face value of $1,000, and a total of 42 moon-cake coupons which were believed to be purchased with counterfeit credit cards. Police also recovered an encoding device and two floppy disks containing software program to run the device on the car. He is still being detained for enquiries |
