Special traffic arrangements for Remembrance Day : Central

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a ceremony
for the Remembrance Day which will be held at the Cenotaph of Statue Square,
Central, on November 13 (Sunday).

The special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:

1. The following roads will be closed from 7 am to midnight:

(a) A section of Chater Road between Pedder Street and Jackson Road; and
(b) A section of Ice House Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central.

2. The following roads will be closed from 9 am to 12 noon:

(a) A section of westbound Chater Road between Murray Road and Jackson Road;
(b) A section of eastbound Chater Road between Jackson Road and Club Street:
and
(c) A section of Jackson Road between Chater Road and Connaught Road Central.

3. A section of westbound Connaught Road Central between Harcourt Road and
Pedder Street will be closed to traffic during the two minutes' silence at 11
am.

4. When the road closures are effective, vehicles on Lambeth Walk heading for
westbound Connaught Road Central will be advised to travel via Murray Road,
Queensway, Arsenal Street, Harbour Road and Connaught Road Central. Vehicles on westbound Harbour Road heading for westbound Connaught Road Central will be advised to travel via Cotton Tree Drive's flyover, Garden Road, Queensway, Queen's Road Central, Peddar Street and westbound Connaught Road Central.

5. Bus stops on westbound Connaught Road Central near the Cenotaph will be
suspended from 10 am to 12 noon.
