2005-11-14 19:54 Police today (November 14) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident which occurred in September in Mong Kok. At about 11 pm on September 28, a private car, travelling along the westbound carriageway of Prince Edward Road West, reportedly knocked down two women, aged 43 and 53, who were crossing the road near Yuen Ngai Street. The private car did not stop after the accident. The unattended vehicle was later located at Fuk Wing Street near Yen Chow Street 30 minutes later. The two injured persons were rushed to the Kwong Wah Hospital. The 53-year-old woman was certified dead at about 2.30 pm on October 4. A 44-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving on September 29 and has been bailed out pending further investigation. Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding. Police urge anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5258 or 2773 5220. |
