2005-11-27 09:55 Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 75-year-old man was killed in Yuen Long today (November 27). At about 4.30am, a private car driven by a 20-year-old man was travelling along Ping Yee Road towards Yeung Uk San Tsuen. When reaching outside Fung Ping House of Long Ping Estate, the driver reportedly overtook a private car ahead and knocked down a bicycle driven by a 75-year-old man travelling ahead. Sustaining serious injuries, the 75-year-old man was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.13am. The private car driver was later arrested for drink driving. Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
