2005-11-29 11:31 Police today (November 29) appeal to members of the public to provide information on an attempted bank robbery case in Wong Tai Sin. Initial enquiries revealed that a man aged about 40 approached a counter of a bank on Shung Ling Street, Wong Tai Sin on July 30, 2003 and declared robbery. He handed to a bank teller a piece of paper written with some words claiming that he had carried gun and asked for thirty thousand dollars. The teller discreetly activated the alarm, squatted down behind the counter and alerted her colleagues. The man immediately fled away via the exit door at Shung Ling Street to an unknown direction. The man is about 1.7 metre tall with short thin hair and is of fat build. He has a round face and thick eyebrow. He was seen wearing a yellow short sleeves T-shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and a pair of white sport shoes. He was also seen carrying a plastic shopping bag and holding a pistol like object. Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East has taken over the case for investigation.
