Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby boy who was found abandoned in Tsing Yi last (December 26) night. Enquiries revealed that shortly before 11.50 pm, a 25-year-old security guard learned from a woman that a baby was placed in the staircase corner of Exit A 1 on the ground floor of the Bus Terminus of Maritime Square on Tsing King Road, Tsing Yi. A report was subsequently made to Police. Police officers deployed to the scene located the baby, who was wrapped in three towels secured by a safety pin. The boy was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital where initial examinations revealed that he is about one to two weeks old and in good condition. Investigations by the Divisional Investigation Team of Tsing Yi Division are proceeding. Police urge the next-of-kin of the baby boy or anyone who might have information to offer to contact investigating officers on 2431 3630 or 2431 3600. |
