2004-01-09 16:18 Police today (January 9) appeal to public for information on a murder in which a 50-year-old man was found injured and later died in Western District yesterday (January 8) morning. The case came to light at about 9.20 am when a cleansing worker reported to Police that he found a man lying unconscious with injury to the head on the ground at the rear lane of Sai Hing Lane. The man was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital but was later certified dead before arrival. A post-mortem conducted yesterday on the deceased, Lee Hon-wah, revealed that he died of bone fracture on the rear skull which was believed to be caused by hard object. Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit, Hong Kong Island is continuing and no one has been arrested so far. Police are anxious to contact the next-of-kin of the deceased. Meanwhile, anyone who knows the deceased or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2859 8592 or 2859 8582. |
