2004-01-29 12:55 Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of Pak Tam Chung and High Island Reservoir, Sai Kung to facilitate a running race to be held on Saturday (January 31). The event will be held between 10 am and 12 noon. Temporary traffic control will be arranged at the start of the event at around 10 am in the vicinity of Pak Tam Chung Barrier. To ensure a smooth traffic flow and safe passage of the participants, a section of Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Barrier and the entrance of Pak Tam Road will be temporarily closed from 9.50 am to 10.05 am on January 31. Public are reminded that the section of Sai Kung Man Yee Road will be congested due to a large number of race participants. Taxis may not be allowed to enter the Pak Tam Chung Barrier when the traffic conditions are not allowed. Police will take strict enforcement actions against illegal parking due to limited parking space at the scene. |
