2003-08-09 15:01 Police appeal to members of the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau Island on August 3. At about 1 pm, a report was made to Police that a male body was found lying on the Tit Tak Shue Beach near Sham Wut. The deceased was about 50 to 60 years old and about 1.59 meters in height. He was wearing a beige colour trousers but the upper part of the body was naked. A pair of metal-frame glasses, a black wallet, a coin bag, and some personal belongings was found in his possession. Initial examination revealed that the body was decomposed. No identity document was found on the body. Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Lantau are proceeding. Anyone who has information on the body is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2988 2423 or 2988 2431. |
