Police received a report at 3.20 pm from a staff of the Tate's Carin highway that a plastic bag was found placed inside the bush next to the ventilation bump room and odd smell were emitting from the bag. Upon arrival, Police found that a human head bone and a two feet long skeleton was placed inside the plastic bag. Police investigation into the case are proceeding.

The Police are investigating a homicide case in which parts of a dismembered body were found in Tsz Wan Shan. At about 3.20 pm yesterday (August 1), a 44-year-old man working for Tate Cairn Tunnel discovered odd smell emitting from black plastic bags placed on a piece of grassland near the tunnel's ventilation pump room on Lok Wah Street, Tsz Wan Shan. A report was subsequently made to the Police. Police officers responding to the report located parts of a dismembered body contained in four black plastic bags. An autopsy conducted late last night showed that the deceased was a female aged between 16 and 30. She should have died for about a week before her body was discovered. Her body had been dismembered into six pieces with the lower part of her torso and her thighs missing. A light-coloured blouse was located in one of the plastic bags. The cause of her death has yet to be ascertained pending further toxicological examinations. Also, the identity of the deceased has yet to be ascertained. Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East is proceeding.
