Fatal Traffic Accident at Sha Tin-bound Tate's Cairn Highway of Tate's Cairn Tunnel before toll booths

At about 1.19 am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) JN4xx1heading Sha Tin crossed
the Tate's Cairn
Tunnel. Before reaching the toll booths, the MGV was rammed by a Kowloon-bound
private car HE3xx1
which reportedly ran out of control. The driver of the MGV sustained slight
injury while the driver
and four passengers of the private car sustained serious injuries. All injured
persons were sent to
Prince of Wales Hospital for medical treatment. Among the injured persons, the
driver and two
passengers of the private car were unconscious.
