More arrests for murder : Kwai Chung

Police today (January 17) arrested eight more men for suspected connection with a murder occurred in Kwai Chung yesterday (January 16) in which a 41-year-old man was killed.

The case came to light at about 7 pm yesterday when Police officers responding to a fighting report located two injured men, aged 29 and 41, lying on the ground on the second floor of a carpark in Hong Kong International Distribution Centre near Terminal 3, Kwai Chung.

The duo was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where the 41-year-old man died afterward. The 29-year-old man was subsequently arrested.

A post mortem conducted on the deceased today revealed that he died of brain haemorrhage.

Apart from the 29-year-old man, officers of the Regional Crime Unit, New Territories South apprehended eight more men aged between 23 and 37 in various locations in the territory today.

All the arrested persons are still being detained for enquiries.

Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit, New Territories South are continuing.
