Man charged with assaulting Police, AOABH and wounding : Tsing Yi

Police today (May 22) charged a 44-year-old man with one count each of assaulting Police officers and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, together with three counts of wounding with intent.

The man was arrested after he attacked a Police officer who arrived at his home in Tsing Yi Estate in order to serve traffic summonses at about 4.30 pm on May 20. Three more officers sustained injuries when they were deployed to handle the case.

The 44-year-old man will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts to face his charges tomorrow (May 23).

A Police spokesman stressed that the Police would not tolerate the use of violence, adding that the Force would continue to carry out their duties so as to maintain law and order.
