The New Territories North (NTN) Regional Complaint Prevention Committee (NTN RCPC) appointed 19 members on September 23. Presenting appointment letters to the new committee members, NTN Regional Commander So Kam-sing said police workload had become heavier and more complex amid the changes in society, bringing more stress and challenges to frontline officers.

He went on to say that the roles of the committee are to publicise messages on complaints prevention, monitor complaint trends and analyse the procedures or activities that are likely to attract complaints, all of which are aimed at reducing preventable complaints and promoting complaints prevention. He encouraged the committee members to promote awareness of complaints prevention among Force members and actively take part in related activities.
