Police Band has recorded five LPs and four CDs since its establishment in 1951. The last album, "Harmony and Passion", highlights the technical and musical talents of the band, while the content of this album concentrates on ceremonial music, including the National Anthem, marches for sport events or processions and marches of uniform groups and disciplinary departments, fulfilling the band's objective of introducing various kinds of functional music in official occasions.

A world-renowned recording engineer, Mr Aik Yew-goh, founder of the HUGO Productions (HK) Ltd, was again invited to direct the multi-microphone recording session in one of the best recording venues in Hong Kong, Tuen Mun Town Hall. Moreover the final production stage was monitored with Hi-End audio equipment and first class recording technology, resulting in an accurate and precise sonic performance.
The three-dimensional effect is lively and the dynamics and frequency extension at both ends are of demonstration class.

The CD, "Ceremonial", is now available in the Force souvenir shops at Police Headquarters, Police Officers' Club, Police Sports and Recreation Club and Police Band (Foundation Training Centre in Police College) at the price of $100.

Police Band has thanked Mr Richard Tang Yat-sun for his generous sponsorship, and Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung for his guidance and supervision for production of the CD.
