Police Constable (PC) Yau Man-kit from Police Tactical Unit has won the Short Story Composition Competition organised by the Hong Kong Island (HKI) Regional Complaints Prevention Committee (RCPC) to promote complaints prevention and encourage officers to enhance work performance and service quality.

Regional Commander Li Kin-fai presented awards to the winner and runners-up on September 18. Speaking at the award presentation ceremony, Mr Li thanked officers for actively participating in the competition by sharing work experiences with colleagues in their entries, bringing Force's professional team spirit into full play.

PC Yau said, "We not only demonstrate the professional police image and maintain a high level of emotional stability, but also go beyond normal procedures by showing care and concern to the needs of the community."

The winning entries, already uploaded onto the webpage of Emergency Unit HKI, will be compiled into booklets for the Resource Centres of all districts.  HKI RCPC Chairman, Superintendent Young Chi-man, said the entries would also be used for experience sharing on complaint prevention on Formation Training Day.
