The Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) Engagement Team of Shatin District (STDIST) has hosted a seminar on social media, Internet bullying, physical abuse and sexual harassment in school for 30 faculty members of the International Christian School (ICS) in Shatin, including teachers and counsellors.

At the seminar, Project Leader, Chief Inspector Gus Scott, together with Inspectors Heidi Lam and Britney Choi from Ma On Shan and Shatin Division respectively, briefed the staff on the means to identify and handle common incidents in school, offered prevention advice, and stressed the importance for students to protect their personal data online. During a discussion session, they had an animated and interactive exchange of views with the staff, addressed their views and concerns, and explained the assistance Police would render in different scenarios.

The Principal of the ICS Middle School, Mr Bryan Thompson, and his staff thanked the NEC Engagement Team for arranging an inspirational and valuable session, and welcomed the team to have more engagements with their students.
