A delegation of 28 officers at the ranks from Inspectorate to Superintendent from various Formations, led by Senior Superintendent (Project) Kowloon East Lau Kit-man, participated in a Mainland Study Programme at the People's Public Security University of China (PPSUC) in Beijing from June 1 to 12. 
 
The delegation spent their first week on lectures at the PPSUC and later departed on a five-day visit to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.  The objective of the study programme was to give the officers a better understanding of the current policing and crime situations as well as the historical, cultural and sociological developments on the Mainland.
 
In the PPSUC, professors and other teaching staff lectured on the legal system on the Mainland, structure of the Ministry of Public Security and the policing challenges being faced by the Mainland. 
 
After the lectures, the delegation embarked on a journey to three cities of Inner Mongolia, where delegation members exchanged views with officials of the Bureau of Exit and Entry Administration and visited a Command and Control Centre and a Special Weapons and Tactics Team, in addition to the Inner Mongolia Museum.
