Representatives of a catering service company called at Airport District (APTDIST) on November 13 and presented six tapestry banners to District Commander Kan Kai-yan in appreciation of officers' efforts to bust three theft cases involving the company's staff.

At the same time, Mr Kan reciprocated by presenting a banner and appreciation letters to the company for co-operating with the police in preventing and fighting crime.

In May this year, APTDIST's District Intelligence Cadre obtained information that the company was the victim of theft of property by its staff. Officers following up on the information carried out several operations in the following two months and arrested three suspects.

Meanwhile, Mr Patrick Turner, a Consul of the British Consulate-General Hong Kong, visited APTDIST on November 11 to familarise himself with the general crime situation and policing strategy of APTDIST for foreign visitors. He appreciated the APTDIST's efforts and looked forward to working closely with APTDIST in preventing crime.
