To retain fond memories of Police Officers' Club (POC) after its temporary closure in August for construction of the Shatin to Central Link, the Grand Opening Ceremony of the POC History Corridor located on the 1/F and 2/F of the Indoor Sports Hall of Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) took place on November 9.


Officiating at the ceremony were the Honorary President of Police Band, Mr Richard Tang, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chau Kwok-leung, Director of Operations Lau Yip-shing, Director of Personnel and Training Au Chi-kwong, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Lau Chi-wai, Police College Deputy Director, Dr Cheng Tak-ming and Chief Superintendent (Personnel Services and Staff Relations) Ng Suk-fun.


The exhibits in the POC History Corridor include Sir Shiu-kin Tang's statue and portrait, which were originally located in POC, two foundation stones of POC, a large board tracing the milestones of POC history, as well as photos, trophies and mementos related to POC.
