The Junior Police Call (JPC) Leader Corps Annual Parade for 2016 took place at the Police College on July 30, with Deputy Commissioner (Operations) (DCP OPS) Wong Chi-hung taking the salute of about 600 JPC members of 19 squads from the Districts.


Mr Wong praised the JPC Leader Corps for their efforts and perseverance in completing the training activities and taking part in the formal parade. He hoped that the Corps members would become a role model for other youngsters in fighting crime and would keep on delivering crime prevention messages in the community. Meanwhile, Mr Wong thanked the stakeholders, including Force members, volunteers, school principals, teachers and JPC members' families for their support to the JPC Leader Corps. He looked forward to their continued encouragement for the JPC.


Mr Wong also presented awards to the outstanding members and squads of the JPC Leader Corps. The Most Active Participating Region Award and the Most Active Participating District Award, which were newly introduced to the parade this year, went to Kowloon West (KW) Region and Kowloon City District (KCDIST) respectively. KW Regional Commander  Yu Tat-chung and KCDIST Commander Cheung Ching received the awards accordingly.


Chairman of the JPC Central Advisory Board Kwok Yam-shu, Chief Director of the JPC Leader Corps Dr Chu Chun-ho, and Chief Superintendent of the Police Public Relations Branch Au Chin-chau also presented souvenirs and certificates to representatives from schools, the Best Leader Corps Members and volunteer trainers. The event marked the second annual parade of the JPC Leader Corps.
