Representatives of a theme park presented a Certificate of Award to crime officers of New Territories South (NTS) Region on July 13 for their professionalism and efficiency in detecting a case involving multiple thefts. NTS Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok, NTS Deputy Regional Commander So Kam-tong and Senior Superintendent of Crime NTS Regional Headquarters Pang Mo-yin jointly led the officers of the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) to receive the award.

In early June, RIU NTS found that a man had posted a large number of products of the theme park on the Internet for sale at a discounted price. Officers followed up the case with the theme park and discovered that the man was an ex-employee of the company and the products sold through the Internet were suspected to be stolen properties. On June 17, the officers arrested the suspect as he tried to steal some products from the theme park again. It was also revealed that a current employee of the theme park had assisted him in previous thefts. More than 1 500 pieces of products at a value of nearly $200,000 were recovered.
