Commissioner Lo Wai-chung presented CP's Commendation to four officers and CP's Formation/Unit Commendation to 15 Formations/Units at the Police Headquarters on August 10 to praise their courage, professionalism, teamwork and devotion to duty in handling a riot at Mong Kok in early February.

CP's Formation/Unit Commendation was presented to the Commercial Crime Bureau; Counter Terrorism Response Unit; Crime Hong Kong Island Region; Crime Kowloon West (KW) Region; Emergency Unit KW; Mong Kok District; Narcotics Bureau; Organized Crime and Triad Bureau; Police Tactical Unit (PTU) Headquarters, PTU A Company, B Company, E Company and Y Company; Quick Reaction Force of New Territories North Region and Traffic KW Region. Officers receiving CP's Commendation were Station Sergeant (SSGT) Hung Pui-sze, Police Constable (PC) Wong Hing-wai, PC Yeung Choi-ho and PC Ho Yik-hang.

On a separate occasion, Mr Lo presented promotion letters to nine officers and CP's Commendation to 10 officers on August 11. Heading the promotion list are Mr Kan Kai-yan and Mr Yau Siu-kei, promoted to Chief Superintendent. Promoted to Senior Superintendent (SSP) are Ms Cheng Chi-man and Ms Chung Wing-man. Messrs Lee Cho-ming, Chow Chi-kwan, Chan Man-sek, Wong Kai-man and Liauw Ka-kei are promoted to Superintendent.

Mr Yeung Man-pun, promoted to SSP, was absent from the ceremony and will receive the promotion letter on the next occasion.

Receiving CP's Commendation were Superintendents Ng Kwok-cheung and Chung Hung-yip, Chief Inspectors Wong Shun-shing and Tsui Suk-yee, Senior Inspectors Leung Lap and Wu Miu-yee, SSGT Lee Chi-keung, Sergeant Ng Wing-kee, as well as PC Mok Siu-tung.
