With the support of the Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre as well as Key Points and Search Division, Castle Peak Division (CPKDIV) conducted a Security Awareness Seminar on January 19 for the management and security personnel of the division's nine sensitive premises, eight of which were situated along the coast. Amongst the Critical Infrastructures and International Ship and Port Facilities were two power stations, the Permanent Aviation Fuel Facility and vital communication stations.

Speaking at an opening ceremony, Tuen Mun District Commander Mak Wai-man highlighted the importance of maintaining a high level of co-operation between the Force and the security sector in face of increasing threats, in particular a global concern of terrorist attacks. Divisional Commander of CPKDIV Wong Kwok-kei and Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) of CPKDIV Francis Carroll have endeavoured to enhance the security of the sensitive premises and engage the management of these premises in conducting exercises to strengthen their response capability. Mr Wong added that CPKDIV would work closely with Marine West Division in day-to-day policing, and the latter would provide maritime support to the premises in case of incidents.

The security personnel thanked the officers for sharing counter-terrorism knowledge with them and giving professional advice about the protection of their premises.
