Under the arrangement of the Hong Kong Police College, Superintendent Wong Ling-yan attended a training programme on "Graduate Diploma of Executive Leadership" at the Australian Institute of Police Management in Manly, Australia, from June 23 to July 5.

Ms Wong participated in the programme with 23 officers from police forces as well as fire and emergency rescue services in Australia, the United States and Canada. The participants took part in a range of inspiring activities, including a Commissioners' forum, policy studies, case analysis and workshops to enhance their leadership and managerial skills.

Upon completion of the programme, Ms Wong was on attachment to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) for one week. She visited the QPS Headquarters, the QPS Community Contact Command, the Mobile Capability Centre, Brisbane Police Communications Centre and Brisbane City Police Station. The visits enabled her to learn more about technology application and youth engagement work of the QPS, and build a partnership with local law enforcement officers.
