Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Fight Crime Committee Mr Chiu Yiu-nin, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Council (TWDC) Mr Wong Wai-kit, some TWDC members, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Civic Education Committee Mr Yim Yuk-lun, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Junior Police Call Honorary Presidents Council Mr Chan Iu-seng, leaders of district organisations and representatives of the local community presented tapestry flags to officers of Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) on July 12 in recognition of their efficiency and professionalism in detecting some crime cases. TWDIST Commander Kerry Carew led the officers to receive the flags.

In April, a robbery and a burglary occurred in TWDIST. Following an in-depth investigation by officers of Task Force Sub-Unit (TFSU) and District Crime Squad (DCS), two suspects were arrested within a short time and the crime cases were detected.

On the other hand, a number of burglaries took place in sub-divided units in TWDIST between April and May, and raised concern among the community leaders and local residents. After officers from TFSU and DCS conducted an in-depth investigation and detailed analysis, they swiftly located a suspect. A joint operation was carried out in May and the suspect was apprehended.
