The Hong Kong Police Force has been serving Hong Kong for 170 years. To commemorate this, an exhibition was held in the former Wan Chai Police Station.

On 1 June 2014, members from both Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC) went to visit the exhibition. The theme of the exhibition was “Serving the Community over the Centuries”. The history of the Force was shown through various display boards. There were also videos and old photos. All these allowed us to see the changes of the Police Force in different eras. What impressed me most was the exhibition corner of JPC. It showcased JPC’s development – from its founding by Mr Rennie in 1974 to its current structure. Some historical items like membership cards also helped us to know more about JPC. As an A-leader of JPC now, my memory of being a member in the past days was recalled by this exhibition. JPC provides me many chances to challenge and improve myself. It also teaches me how to face different difficulties in life.

Now I have grown up. I hope I can be a good leader and help more youngsters to find their right ways, as what JPC has done for me.
(Mr MAN Hok-him, JPC Advanced Leader of Tai Po District)
