Under the encouragement from the staff of Wong Tai Sin Junior Police Call, I joined the programme provided by The Hong Kong Award for Young People and received diversified training by instructors from the Police. Today, I was successfully awarded the HKAYP Bronze Medal Award in the ceremony.
I was excited to complete all the programmes for a bronze medal. In the process, I devoted a lot of effort to train my physique, to acquire knowledge and techniques about camping and hiking, and learn skills for map reading.
In the field of Recreation and Sports, I learned many skills and knowledge about how to improve my postures for footwork. I also participated in a lot of volunteer services actively. I spared no effort to ride out all subjects tasked to upgrade myself with perseverance. In the end, I finally received the Bronze Medal Award on 13th August 2022.
In fact, I also reached the requirement for HKAYP Silver Medal Award, and I will attend the ceremony for the award on 9th September 2022.
In addition, I am participating in programmes for a gold medal and aim to obtain the award next year. HKAYP is definitely a meaningful and overarching platform for me to challenge myself. During the Bronze Medal Award Ceremony, I met Mr PANG Wing-seng, Victor, MH, Vice-Chairman of HKAYP Award Council, who encouraged me to enjoy every moment in the HKAYP.
He also shared his thoughts on HKAYP. He thinks HKAYP can make a positive change for youth to become more optimistic and outgoing. One of my favourite subjects is the service part because it is an honour to devote myself as a volunteer to help others and make them happy.
