To provide quality services to overseas visitors and locals using the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a Police Reporting Centre manned by officers from Ngau Tau Kok Division has been set up on the 2/F of the terminal. It is also equipped with an Operations Room for command and control at the terminal during emergencies.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Police Reporting Centre on October 9, Kowloon East Regional Commander Mike Cartwright thanked all who had contributed to the establishment of the reporting centre.  He said the reporting centre would probably be the first contact point with the police for tourists from cruises, adding that the tourists would receive the highest standard of police services.

Besides officers from Kowloon East, Sau Mau Ping District, Marine Region and Planning and Development Branch, working partners from Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department, Fire Services Department, Architectural Services Department, Tourism Commission and Worldwide Cruise Terminals Consortium were present at the opening ceremony.
