The Force hosted the 13th Tripartite Woman Police Officers' Meeting from November 13 to 15. The meeting is an annual event since 2001, providing a forum for woman officers from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to exchange views and experience on policing issues.

This year, the theme of the meeting was "Equilibrium and Wisdom - Psychological Well-being and Policing". Three delegations comprising a total of 39 woman officers from the three jurisdictions discussed wide-ranging topics at the meeting, with the Guangdong delegation led by Ms Luo Juan, Deputy Director-General of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department; Force delegation by Marine Regional Commander Chiu Wai-yin; and Macao delegation by Ms Kok Fong-mei, Deputy Director of Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau.

For the first time, Senior Police Clinical Psychologist (SPCP) Mak Wing-fun from the Psychological Services Group (PSG) and a Police Welfare Officer attended the meeting as guest speakers.

The event programmes included seminars, sharing sessions, and visits to the Transport Division Headquarters at Siu Lek Yuen Operational Base, PSG office, and the security control room of the Hong Kong Disneyland.

At the meeting, SPCP Mak gave a presentation on the theme which gave the participants a better idea of how PSG helps promote and enhance the psychological well-being of Force members, helping them to achieve resilience and strike a work-life balance.

During the visits, the delegates were impressed by the functions of the Force vehicle fleet, the services of the PSG and the co-operation between the Disneyland theme park and Lantau District.

At thematic seminars and during site visits, the woman officers exchanged views and the ways to tackle the challenges they are facing and renewed their close ties.

The 2014 Tripartite Woman Police Officers' Meeting will be held in Guangdong.
