With prudent financial management being an integral part of the Integrated Approach to Physical and Health Management, the Staff Relations Group organises activities regularly to promote awareness of financial prudence among Force members and their family members.
This year, the "Prudent Financial Management Writing Competition" has drawn a total of 68 entries from 116 officers and family members. Following careful deliberation, the Working Group on Prevention and Management of Police Indebtedness picked winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards and three Merit awards. The winners received award certificates and book coupons at the Police Staff Suggestions and Police Staff Motivation Scheme cum Project Lighthouse Award Presentation Ceremony held at Police Headquarters on March 7.
The awardees are as follows -
Gold Award: SSGT Chan Chik-hoi from Tuen Mun Magistracy. (Individual)
Silver Award: PC Lam Kin from Marine Region and PC Fung Pui-yi from Emergency Unit New Territories North. (Team)
Bronze Award: DSGT Chung Kwan-tung, DPC Kwok Ka-yau and DPC Cheng Pui-fong, all from Regional Crime Unit 2A Hong Kong Island. (Team)
Merits Awards: DSIP Fung Pui-kei from Narcotics Bureau, SGT Chan Man-for from Marine West Division, and PC Fung Pui-yan from Mong Kok District (Team); SGT Ho Ka-fai from Traffic Headquarters (Individual); and CIP Law Ka-hong from Marine West Division, SGT Li Kwok-ming from RCCC Marine, and PC Chan Kwan-lok from Marine South Division.
