To make officers more conscious of the issues related to Integrity Management (IM), Crime Hong Kong Island, with the technical support of the Learning Technology Division of Police College, rolled out an Internet learning package known as "IM E-Quiz" in March.

Accessible via the HKI CID E-Platform, the E-Quiz offers 16 IM-related questions on Force values, behavioural guidelines, acceptance of advantage and the relevant Force orders and procedures. Some questions are based on scenarios, designed to stimulate the thinking of the participants on the ethical pitfalls at work.

A contest for the E-Quiz was held in March and on April 4 Crime HKI Senior Superintendent Au Chin-chau presented awards to 15 participants who scored full marks within the time limit. Noting that integrity is the cornerstone of the image of the Force, he pointed out that the E-Quiz made officers more aware of the need to uphold the values of integrity and honesty both on and off duty.

One of the awardees, Sergeant Chow Man-fai from Regional Intelligence Unit, commented: "The E-Quiz is a user-friendly and easily accessible platform for officers to test their knowledge of integrity at all times."

Another awardee, Police Constable Ng Yin-yi from  Regional Anti-Triad Unit, said: "The contest covered the relevant laws and internal guidelines for officers' behaviours and discipline. It helped officers remain more sensitive to integrity-related issues."
